DEMA designs and produces special automatic machines to manipulate, assemble, weld and control mechanical and electromechanical components. Such machines or lines are generally conceived for medium-high production rates, so developed in a full automatic configuration. If the production rates are lower, some tasks can be carried out by one or more operators; in this case the machines are semiautomatic.

 The processed components can be stored, depalletized or singularized in order to be selected, recognized, handled and/or assembled according to the production process fixed with the customer. Depending on the process and the customers’ requirements it is possible to control and measure various geometrical or physical parameters, and manage the outcoming results.
DEMA creates customized machines based on standard modules. This permits to minimize the designing and assembling time and activities as well as the related costs, and assures the machines an extraordinary longevity. The higher quality of the DEMA machines comes from their accurate engineering, design and setup process that includes the mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic and software range.
DEMA, and SASSI formerly, have installed more than 900 machines from the beginning of their activities (1952), and it is estimated that more than 50% of of them are still operational.
DEMA has got the complete know how which is necessary to produce its machines, and increases it on the occasion of each special project. For this reason DEMA knows down to the last detail the machines that have been produced.
The manufacturing industry has nowadays the tendency to use more and more flexible production equipments to have the chance to produce an entire product family on the facility and reduce the changeover time. Dema in some ways anticipated this trend, by developing technical solutions for very flexibles versions of its machines
